From our family workshop in Hokitika, we handcraft pounamu jewellery from genuine New Zealand greenstone. Pounamu is strong, timeless, and full of meaning, making it the perfect gift to honour and celebrate life’s important moments.

Brittany Lissington (nee Surgenor)

Growing up in the heart of New Zealand’s pounamu country, I followed in my father’s footsteps and entered the family greenstone business in 2012. Since then, I have supplied wholesale and retail customers throughout New Zealand and around the world.

Today, I’m forging my own path, specialising in hand-carving pounamu jewellery and mere from my own workshop, while raising a family on the wild West Coast. My designs draw inspiration from the traditional forms found in Māori jewellery, weapons, and tools, and aim to showcase the natural beauty of each piece of pounamu. Thank you for visiting my online store.

Close to the source

Our workshop is just a short distance from the banks of the pounamu-bearing Hokitika River, right in the heart of New Zealand’s jade country.

All of our stone is sourced locally from the western side of Te Waipounamu, the South Island, and transformed into hand-carved pounamu jewellery. This landscape has deep roots in Māori history, including the traditional use of local pounamu for tools and Māori jewellery.
